Wi-fi in the Center of Santarcangelo

The Government of the Union of Municipalities of Marecchia Valley, decided to make available in the center of Santarcangelofree wi-fi internet connection. Telecom, starting this summer, will provide this service for which approximately € 37 000, were spent, funded in part by the region in support of projects for commercial areas.
The term WiFi (Wireless Fidelity) is applied to devices that connect to local networks using radio signals, without using LAN (WLAN). With this type of technology people can connect to the Internet with a notebook, a cell phone or handheld wireless-enabled (and then fitted with WiFi antenna and software), without using cables. One can also connect to the Internet, upon request, using the areas covered by the service that expose the brand WiFi Zone official who certifies the compatibility with IEEE 802.11 standards set by the WiFi Alliance consortium. The certification procedures ensure the safety, efficiency and the interoperability of wireless devices.
