The Italian Post of Rimini has created a free service called "Tips", aimed at retirees. The service not only provides information against fraud, but offers free insurance against theft of cash too.

The Italian Post Office has created this service to protect retirees in the event of theft or fraud. The free insurance in case of theft covers a maximum of 700 euros. The office of Rimini reminds the 30,000 pensioners who come by not to open the door to strangers, even if they claim to be employees of public utilities. Before opening the door, the service must be checked by phone. Italian Post points out that none of its employees had ever had the permission to collect cash.
