The Festival of San Giuliano has reached its seventeenth edition. The first is dated in 1979 . It all started as a party between four friends and now it became a highly anticipated summer event in Rimini.
The first one to celebrate Rimini was Mario Pasquinelli who wanted to say welcome back to his brother Paul, who was back in the village of San Giuliano to greet the family after years of absence. It was ment to be only a party with friends, but eventually became the most anticipated summer event. After thirty years since the first edition of the festival, the spirit has not changed and the villagers have returned to being a community.
During the celebration exhibitions will be set up in honor of some villagers. The characters are villagers have “written” the history: Ettore Parmeggiani, the tenor who sang for 16 years at La Scala in Milan, and Giuseppe Giulietti, the naval officer, who supported D'Annunzio the expedition in Fiume.
