"Save an endangered species" Aquarium of Cattolica Project

The new project "save an endangered species" of the Cattolica Aquarium collaborates with the Saint Louis Zoo, the zoo in the United States, and the Wild Care Institute, to promote the conservation of Humboldt penguins at Punta San Juan in Peru, transforming this place into a protected marine reserve.
Under the project "Save an endangered species, the Aquarium of Cattolica is been working for several years with the Turtle Point of Naples, a center for the dissemination and environmental awareness, which provides the aquarium in Cattolica neonate turtles since 2008. The small turtles, followed by the attentive staff of the Aquarium are kept until they are able to swim alone in open water. After that they are being released into their natural surroundings and followed at a distance through a microchip for scientific research purposes.
