Rimini: Klima Turns Waste into Energy

Klyma, founded by Lucio Cola, a long-time chemical engineer, designed and analyzed the systems and processes for the production of energy derived from biomass, biodegradable waste and non-hazardous combustible solid waste. Cola said the company works with key partners throughout Italy and abroad, as an example the Bdr subsidiary in Bulgaria, which collaborates with the Technical University of Sofia. The university is in the field of environmental protection, systems of collection, sorting and processing of waste and industrial waters.
Klyma uses the methods of mathematical modeling and simulation of processes that reduce costs, prototyping pilot and demonstration projects, thus accelerating the development of industrial plants and encouraging technological innovation. Klyma produced a major boost in the scientific research field and university education, offering jobs to graduates of Rimini. The company has allowed several graduate and undergraduate students in engineering, chemistry and geology, to conduct a training within their structure. After the training course, most of the students get a job in the company, while some of them can even become members.
