Cesena is a great football team of Romagna and the return in Serie A is considered as an opportunity to enhance the tourism in Cesena and on the Riviera in general.

The Tourist Office in Cesena held important promotional actions in cooperation with hotels and shops. Cesena hotels didn’t receive yet numerous requests for reservations for the weekend of 11 and 12 September, coinciding with Milan-Cesena football game. On the other hand, the Riviera hotels have many customers and requests for the next weekend as is it is still summer and tourist can choose both to see the game and to enjoy the seaside. Twenty years ago, at the time of the last appearance in Serie A, promotional tools lacked. Nowadays the authorities will do their best to connect high quality football in Cesena to the image of a City of "Serie A".
