Summer ends and the rains are coming – a perfect time to collect snails in Valmarecchia. The Mountain Community of Valmarecchia issued a decree in order to protect them.

The decree states that the collection of snails is allowed only for private consumption, and up to a maximum of one kilogram per day. In protected areas of Valmarecchia the collection remains prohibited, collection of frogs included. The Woodland Police and the Ecological Guard will be ready to sanction any kind of breache.
