Legambiente Brings to Rimini the Turtle Trophy

The Green Train, the symbol of the historic campaign of Legambiente and Railways arrived to Rimini with the objective to monitor the air and noise pollution in Italian cities. Moreover, the campaign was structured in a way known to raise awareness of issues concerning climate change, energy conservation and use of renewable sources.
This year, the Green Train of Legambiente stopped in Rimini bringing the Turtle trophy, the contest between different means of transport on the theme of urban mobility. The purpose of the contest is to chronometer the time travel of different means of transport of each participating city, checking in this way, which is faster and has less environmental impact.
In the streets of the city of Rimini Legambiente volunteers will compet on board different media: bike, car, motorcycle and bus. The race will be held on Saturday at 3am, when the competitors start from square Marvelli (ex-Tripoli), to reach the finish at the eats track of the railway station in Rimini.
