Igea Marina Analyzes the Situation of the Colonies and of the Hotels

During the meeting the following issues were discussed: degradation of the area settlements, roads and road maintenance,decoration of the portocanale docks, roads, redevelopment for the hotels . Regarding the area of colonies, mayor Enzo Ceccarelli said it is now possible to give certainty on the timing and feasibility of the proposed actions by private individuals. Colonies of via Pinzon will be torn down and moved ahead of Igea, but will keep unchanged the current space requirements allocated to residential. The other colonies are not relocating, but will return to the original use: residential, tourism, health and so on. In addition, the critical area of the colonies, this year will be monitored by cameras. The safety project will be financed by the Municipality and the Region.
During the meeting it was also discussed the upgrading of hotels, which in compliance with the existing rules and regulation, will enhance service, common areas and room sizes, under certain conditions. This will respond even better to the needs of modern tourism.
