Ravenna becomes one again the capital of the Divine Comedy with the exhibition of poetry "Dante09. From Thursday 9 to Thursday, September 30, Ravenna will celebrate the 689th anniversary since the death of Dante Alighieri.

Ravenna will devote the month of September to the famous Italian poet Dante Alighieri, through the exhibition of poems "Dante09" which this year reaches its fifth edition. The exhibition organized with the help of the Foundation of the Sparkasse and the Laboratory of the ideas of Bologna under the artistic direction of David Rondoni, will present this year a long series of events and meetings.

This year the exhibition "Dante09" was inspired by the poem 'teach me how man becomes eternal' (Inferno XV, 85), where Dante tells then story of how he met his master Brunetto Latini. The 2010 edition theme focuses on the importance of having a teacher in our lives. The meetings of the festival will be held at 6 pm in the old Franciscan cloister, and from 9 pm in Piazza del Popolo.
