After weeks of controversy, with the involvement of local political forces and a committee of parents, a new office specialised in issues related to violence within the families of the area (Riviera, Valconca and the hinterland) will open in the Republic Square of Catolica. Professor Alessandro Meluzzi will in charged with the activity of the office.

This initiative is part of a broader agenda of initiatives, courses and seminars that the Center for Families, opened a few months ago, offers to the local community. Since last Friday the door is opened every Friday from 10 to 13. It can be accessed directly or by appointment with Dr Cinzia Cavalli, therapist assistant of professor Meluzzi.

“We invite those in need to contact us”, says Marika Marks, head of the Center for Families of Catolica. The activity is related to different cases of violence within afamily (abuse or parent-child relationship related to addiction and more).
