Catolica: Book Dedicated to Giovannini Sisters

The book written ​​by Giuliana Tomassoli, Cermaria Alda and Ugolini Filippini and published by the Cooperative Credit Bank of Gradara is entitled “Sorelle Giovannini. Una storia sotto il glicine”/"Sisters Giovannini. A story under the wisteria". It took two years to give light on the story of the three sisters, but the effort was rewarded by the enthusiasm of Catolica people and more than 1,800 copies sold.
The story of three sisters is interwoven with moments of joy and adventure, such as loss of unpleasant memories Wedia who died young because of tuberculosis. Irma is instead remembered as a Catolica schoolteacher who came up in Tunisia to teach Italians abroad during the years of fascism, while Renata has remained at the side of the family. The book was made possible thanks to the letters and postcards of the stars retained by Livio Franco Magnani. These documents along with clothes, furnishings, and paintings are exhibited in the family Giovannini Palazzo del Turismo in an exhibition dedicated to the sisters Giovannini.
