Ottocento Festival

For its 28th edition, the Festival plunges once again into the past and it is ready to welcome the audience with a charming and spectacular journey through squares and streets, courts and churches, alleys and hidden squares, recreating and evoking the atmospheres of the 19th century, both in its cultivated and bourgeois forms and in its popular and genuine expressions.
Each evening, the packed programme of events offers hundreds of opportunities for visitors, including classical and folk music, prose and dance, theatre and street artists inspired by the colourful showmen and the virtuous funambulists or tumblers of the period.
The spectacular historic scene will be completed by exhibitions and thematic settings and by inns where one can taste “typical foods and delights of the 19th century” and by a “typical market of artisans” with the craftsmen of that time.
Of course, there’s also the popular nineteenth-century market and a particular focus on food and wine with dozens of shops, inns and places where visitors can find something to eat and drink.
Minstrels, poets and actors all contribute to a unique and exciting event.
