The packed summer programme in Bologna, in several locations. Every year from June to September Bologna is enlivened by performances and cultural entertainment, promoted by the Bologna Municipality, for which the settings will be the most interesting and significant locations in town.

City Museums open at night: every night a city museum will stay open until 11.30pm, offering guided tours, events, exhibitions and children's laboratories

Serate d'Onore: festival in the cloister of Teatro S. Martino with important Italian theatre stars

Comunale estate: festival of Bologna opera theatre that opens Sala del Bibiena with two operas, while nearby Teatro S. Martino will host performances of a women's choir and orchestra

Il Salotto del Jazz: live jazz concerts in the University area, where via Mascarella, which is closed to traffic, becomes a kind of outdoor lounge, with bars, restaurants, music and performances.
